Our Mission

Mission - grow in Christ

Our core mission is to spread the simple good news message of Jesus Christ. That through faith in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, we are eternally secure and can walk in the fullness of life that He offers. Through the teaching of this message, we want to see all people grow spiritually to “become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13). The gospel changes everything from the inside-out, and we want to help equip people in their unique God-given callings for their lives.

Christians and non-Christians alike are often walking in defeat with uncertainty in their identity and purpose - and they don’t have to. When we accurately understand who Jesus is and receive what he accomplished through his life, death, and resurrection, then we can boldly approach the throne of God as His children. At New Ground Ministries, we surrender our identity and purpose to Jesus and we want others to do the same.

Guiding Scriptures

Our vision isn’t new. We believe that it’s aligned with what God’s heart and mission has always been: to bring people to Himself in a dark and dying world. Here are a few of the Scriptures that have shaped our vision.

Acts 26:17-18

..I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

1 Corinthians 9:22

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.

John 15:15

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

2 Timothy 1:7

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

1 Corinthians 12:4-6

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
