Sundays at 10Am
Growing in spiritual maturity was never intended to happen alone. We call our Sunday morning gathering Bible Fellowship, and it is a time for us as Christians to devote ourselves to the Bible, worship, fellowship, and prayer (Acts 2:42). This is a spiritual development ministry for those who have struggled to find Christian community and pastoral care. Reach out to Kyle for more info.
What are we building here?
“on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” - Jesus
Organizations come and go, but Jesus’ Church will continue to stand. Think about it: even great organizations like YoungLife, Samaritan’s Purse, the North American Mission Board, the Baptist church down the road, and even New Ground Ministries, will cease to exist one day. These organizations could continue to operate for hundreds of years, but they are not eternal. Changes in leadership, changes in culture, and the existence of that little thing called sin can derail these organizations in an instant. No matter how well-meaning, organizations are not impenetrable from the gates of hell. Only Jesus’ Church and leadership can withstand the test of thousands of years of spiritual assault. I think we’d be wise to occasionally ask ourselves, “what am I building?” As the psalmist says, “unless the Lord builds a house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127). If we want to build things that last, it has to be with the unwavering goal of seeing Christ magnified, and not ourselves or our organizations. My core goal since the beginnings of this ministry has been to shift ecclesiological perspectives among the people of God, so that we can see more of the spiritual victories that come through following our Lord. New Ground exists to participate in the work that Christ is doing as he builds his Church, and while our organization’s name will pass with history, we are committed to building something eternal that glorifies the name of Jesus alone.

Our priorities
“..being rooted and established in love..” - Ephesians 3:17
People > Systems
The Church is never referred to as a building in the New Testament. We as God’s people are His Church when we assemble together. We don’t prioritize programs, buildings, or systems; we prioritize the souls of people that are made in God’s image.
Dialogue > Monologue
Church shouldn’t be a place where you come to enjoy a performance; it should be a community where you are known and involved. We share our struggles and questions and serve one another in love.
With > For
We seek to do things with one another, and not just for one another. This attitude prevents unhealthy expectations and posturing. As believers, we are all co-heirs with Christ, a holy priesthood, and partners in the gospel and we work together with a common goal of advancing Jesus’ message.
Give > Get
As Holy Spirit filled Christians, He has given each one of us spiritual gifts to benefit His people. We create opportunities during fellowship for people to use their unique gifts, because we know how valuable they are to the Body of Christ.
Serving > Lording
Having leadership is a necessary and good thing. Good leaders don’t posture themselves as better than the people they lead, they serve them and lay down their lives for them. Everyone in leadership seeks to lead and serve the way that Jesus did.
Creative > Critical
Jesus was a carpenter that built beautiful things, Satan comes to destroy. We exist to build up and equip God’s people for the work he has for each of us. We know there is often more than one way to accomplish a goal and we welcome healthy dialogue and innovation. We want to create new ways to reach and serve one another and avoid instilling traditions if they are not spiritually fruitful.

Take heart, be brave.
